WORKSHOP SUMMARY

"Social Computing in Digital Health" aims to discuss the application of social computing to eHealth, mHealth,  and public health services. This field of research aims to bring together interactive social intelligence to eHealth systems by combining information from multiple users and groups, along with context information and social interaction to promote innovative methods of health system and monitoring. This workshop seeks to  basic premise of this workshop is to think of multidisciplinary and investigative approaches involving:

  • Technologies and solutions to integrate social elements in Digital Health

  • Novel Data Mining and Machine Learning for Social Intelligence in Digital Health

  • Social Modelling and Simulation to investigate network formation and influence processes that may public health and health environment

  • Ambient intelligence, smart environments and interactive systems

  • Analysis of social media and media intelligence in health related topics

  • The application of mobile and wearable technology in social systems for Digital Health, public health, and health monitoring

The workshop is interested in attracting industrial research and academic groups conducting practical research around extended models of Computational Intelligence, Computational Social Sciences, Intelligent Information Retrieval, Social Simulation, Human-Computing Interaction, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning and others applied to the field of Digital Health, public health, and health monitoring.

Accepted and duly presented papers will be published in the IEEE Healthcom’16 Conference Proceedings and indexed in IEEE Xplore (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/), the IEEE digital repository.
